Step into the Charaka Kitchen for the second Gandhi Pravasa workshop, where renowned culinary experts guided participants in transforming locally sourced greens, grains, and millets into nutritious, income-generating culinary delights.

The second training workshop under the Gandhi Pravasa Sustainable Tourism Project was organized by Charaka from 13th to 15th July at Charaka Kitchen.
The workshop was conducted by Artist, Culinary Expert Shri. Purushottam Adve from Udupi and Millet Culinary Expert Shri. Ram Babu from Hyderabad as resource persons. Practical training was provided on preparing healthy and nutritious food using locally available food items, vegetables, greens and grains.


The training taught methods for preparing various types of juices, menthol tea, milk shakes, protein-balls, chutneys, and payasam. Guidance was given on the proper use of local resources, healthy eating habits, and the possibilities of generating income through food.

In line with Charaka's aspirations of using local resources, self-reliance, health, and a sustainable lifestyle, Charaka staff and local participants from Sagara actively participated in this workshop and received practical training.

The training was inaugurated by Hyderabad-based Millet chef Shri. Ram Babu at 11 am on July 13. Artist and chef Shri. Purushottam Adve and Charaka founder Shri Prasanna were present on the occasion. Shri. Anil Hegde, ex-Rajya Sabha Member and a social activist from Bihar and a native of Karnataka, participated in the training concluding ceremony. Shri. Anil Hegde distributed certificates to the campers at the closing ceremony.
